On this page you will find details of any additional sessions that we put on for students on the course to support their learning. Attendance is optional but strongly encouraged. These sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Details will also be added to the course Google Calendar, available on Moodle. We will update this page as we get confirmation of new training sessions.
‘Using Endnote’ – Tuesday 8th October, 1.30 – 3.00pm, Birley 2.3 (ICT room 3): In this session you will be introduced to Endnote, a practical software tool that can help you to record your literature search and use for referencing literature. This will be delivered by Emily Shields of Didsbury Library.
‘Turn it in’ – Tuesday 1st October, 1.30-2.30 pm, Birley 2.3 (ICT room 3): In this session, Nicola Whitton and Cheryl Dunleavy at will introduce students to assessment technology (‘Turn It In’) which will be used for all assignments.
‘Using NVvivo’ – Thursday 28th November, 1.30-3.30pm, Birley 2.1 (ICT room 1): In this session you will be introduced to NVivo, a practical software tool that can help you analyse qualitative data. This will be delivered by Dr Lorna Roberts and Raj Patel.
